New research published in June issue of journal Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science indicates that supplementing with DHA (from omega-3 fatty acids) helps preserve vision in seniors. As one ages, toxins can build up in the retina that causes vision loss. This study showed that with the increase in DHA, there was no increase at all in the toxins. This is the first study to demonstrate this specific result. The findings were published in the journal Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science.
